Aaron O'Brien

Aaron O'Brien vigorously represents people of all kinds in all kinds of predicaments. He has earned a reputation for a tenacious style and success in the courtroom.

Aaron O'Brien has appeared on Closing Arguments with Nancy Grace (mercifully there was a guest host that day), Both Sides with Vinnie Politan, Catherine Crier Live, Trial Heat, Open Court, Daybreak, the News-Press, Bonita Banner, Naples Daily News, Cape Coral Breeze, and more.

You can be sure that no matter what your circumstances are, Aaron O'Brien will not judge you, but zealously represent you and fight for you. He will spend the time necessary to listen to you, to fully understand you, and to achieve the best possible result for you.

In his off time, Aaron O'Brien trains for, and competes in, marathons and other races. He enjoys time with family, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, hunting, music, reading and advocating for limited government, freedom and liberty.

Christy O'Brien

Mrs. O'Brien practices family law and civil litigation. Her family law practice includes dissolution of marriage (divorce), custody, paternity, child support and dependency issues. She also handles personal injury and wrongful death cases. Throughout her career, she has handled and tried all types of cases in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit (Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties) and the Twelfth Judicial Circuit (Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto Counties) Florida.

Mrs. O'Brien graduated from the University of Tampa Cum Laude in 1996 where she played Division II softball and was named to the Sunshine State Conference All-Academic Team. She then went on to Florida State University College of Law where she graduated in 2000. 

Mrs. O'Brien began her career practicing personal injury with Associates & Bruce L. Scheiner and continued to practice civil litigation and personal injury law with the Law Offices of Curtright C. Truitt. During her time there, she tried numerous civil cases in Lee, Collier, Charlotte and Sarasota counties.

Mrs. O'Brien then joined her husband and his late partner at Neel & O'Brien where she continued her civil and personal injury practices, and began practicing family law. In 2006, Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien formed the O'Brien Law Firm.

Mrs. O'Brien is admitted to the Florida Bar as well as the federal court Middle District of Florida. She is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. Mrs. O'Brien also serves on the Southwest Florida Television Advisory Board. In her spare time, Mrs. O'Brien enjoys running, traveling, boating and playing with the couple's three sons.

Pat Dulaney, Registered Paralegal

Pat Dulaney has worked with the O’Briens since the fall of 2005 as a paralegal. She came to the firm from the central Ohio area with more than 25 years of experience in the legal profession. 

Pat attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and completed a great deal of coursework in Criminology. Pat became a Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar in November, 2010, after fulfilling the five-year requirement of performing substantive legal work for a member of the Florida Bar, Aaron O’Brien.

Pat has worked mainly in the areas of criminal defense and family law. Over the years, she has developed a strong working knowledge to deal with the stresses people naturally face in times of personal crisis and is very helpful to clients. Utilizing Pat’s assistance and skills can keep you informed of your case. While Pat is not permitted by law to give legal advice, her vast experience working with the Court, other attorneys and clients will be beneficial to you.

If you have a question or concern, you want a prompt response. You want to know that the attorney actually cares about you and is actively working on your case. Pat will help keep you informed and serves as a bridge, when necessary, between you and your attorney. This serves to expedite the handling of your case. In addition to working with clients, she manages the office and works closely with both Aaron and Christy O’Brien.

Pat has a son, Derek, who is currently an electrician in the Ohio National Guard. Pat loves college football and takes a great deal of grief from the locals because she is a diehard Buckeyes fan. In her spare time, Pat enjoys our beautiful beaches, camping, and fishing with her fiancé Shawn and their bearded collie, Heidi.
